Batesville School District Receives Greenspace Enhancement Grant from Intimidator Groupand The Toro Company
BATESVILLE, Ark. (October 26, 2023) – Dedicated to revitalizing outdoor spaces in the communities where employees live and work, Intimidator Group and The Toro Company Foundation are pleased to announce the Batesville School District is receiving a $30,000 grant as part of the company’s Greenspace Enhancement Grant Program. The district’s project aligns with the company’s focus to build stronger communities, enhance outdoor environments for education, and to serve the needs of communities worldwide.
Each year through The Toro Company Foundation’s philanthropic initiative, Land. Water. Thrive., the company supports nonprofits and public agencies worldwide by providing financial grants to revitalize parks and green spaces, enrich outdoor environments of local neighborhoods and schools, educate on the efficient use of water, and support sustainable agriculture through community gardens and other projects.
The Batesville School District plans to utilize the grant to build a nature playscape for preschool students to enhance their understanding of the environment and engage in real-world learning opportunities. Since students and community members do not currently have an accessible outdoor space to utilize, this project will encourage a newfound appreciation for the environment byadding safe playground equipment, a nature path and new vegetation to the space.
